YIPPEE

Week 41: my PET scan results are in......TREATMENT WAS A SUCCESS! I should be good for another 5 years, depending on where you get your statistics and whether or not you believe them. For the most part, they say I have anywhere from about a 52% to 64% chance of survival. Personally, I plan to be in the 100% range. That means I can keep on smoking, drinking, spitting, swearing and speeding.  So step aside world... I'm back.

That is the BEST NEWS I've heard!!! Congrats, Ann, and here's to you drinking, spitting, etc. for a VERY LONG time to come! Hey, I was just remembering that it was one year ago that us girls went up to the lake for a weekend getaway--so hard to believe that was one year ago. Think about all that's happened in that short time... So happy we can plan another trip with you SOON! Perhaps add "skiing" to your list of continued activities!!! Here we come! :)

Greetings Ann! I just discovered your blog address on the Dr. Susan Love website...my story is on the same page as yours...and from the small intro, just had to sign in to learn more. Read it from start to finish, along with all the comments; I laughed often...You are an inspiring writer, one I identify with strongly. Best to you as you find new footing each day. I truly understand the two sided coin of "I’m finished with treatment (Yea!), but what about from here on? (Yikes!)” It's certainly a universal fear that lurks in the background...but it's not as big as we are and we can handle it. Plus, it’s good practice in building the tenacity for learning a gymnastic routine on the uneven bars...BTW, thanks a whole lot (sarcasm) for putting that tune in my mind, the one I cannot get rid of...(Small World, etc.)Take care, Linda

Congrats Ann! I hadn't logged in to your blog for quite a few months - last I checked was the beginning of miserable treatments and lots of sadness... but now - yeah!!
"Live, Laugh, Love" - Jennifer McCage, 4-year-stage 4 colon cancer cancer survivor, lost the battle March 12, 2009, at barely 40-years-old.
She would want nothing less from all of us.

Hope to see you soon-
Love ya,
